Loved laying out the content of the pack. Thinking of two people who went to the trouble of thoughtfully compiling them.
Feels quite a big ask to create the complexities of a conference topic in a (presentable) piece of textile artwork. And also an interesting challenge.
Aware that it needs to blend into a whole quilt with others' creations.
(Maybe the process is more important than the end piece?).
Find it difficult to create without looking at other examples. Might be a different kind of pressure in a room with others. Would they have wiser academic theories that they are better able to translate to textile format (that's my hang ups).
I'm not drawn to red as a colour for textile. It's too loud. Ah, it can hide like me. I cut strips of red, wind and partially cover with other fabrics.
I create orderly(ish) lines to fit in, a grid to form as part of something.
